Easter Tulips: A Spring Talk and Pick Your Own at Sustainable Flower Farm, Pied Beauty Flowers, Oxfordshire

  • Pied Beauty Flowers OX9 2NZ United Kingdom (map)

Join us this Easter for a special visit to our neighbouring sustainable flower farm. Miranda, owner and grower, will share her knowledge of growing tulips - from choosing varieties to nurturing them through the spring - before inviting you into the field to individually pick your own 12 stems.   Ticket price includes an Open Garden visit to Turn End (1-3pm), for those who wish to explore our listed garden and its glorious mid‑spring display.

During the morning, Miranda will explain how she plants tulips to create a truly fabulous show, the simple steps she takes to protect bulbs from squirrels and mice, and how to plant and pick for maximum stem length. You’ll discover which tulips reliably return each year, where to source the best tulip bulbs for your own garden, and how to plant in pots and numbers. The morning will end with a demonstration on how to arrange even a small number of speciality tulips to maximum effect in a tablescape, before picking your own selection of tulips to take home.

This event is hosted by Turn End Trust in support of local growers and sustainable horticulture. As a listed garden shaped by Peter Aldington’s thoughtful design and decades of careful stewardship, Turn End has long championed practices that work with the seasons and celebrate the craft of growing. Partnering with our neighbouring grower, Pied Beauty Flowers, reflects that same ethos - nurturing a living landscape, strengthening local horticultural knowledge and sharing the joy of plants grown with integrity.
