New House shares a similar ethos to Turn End where houses and gardens are closely connected. New House (1963-4) and Turn End (1964-7) are the only two post-war house and garden projects Listed by Historic England. Both modern village houses, sympathetic to local vernacular and building traditions, are noted for their integration of building and landscape.
