Turn End, a new 45 minute documentary film by award winning film director Murray Grigor and director of photography Hamid Shams, has just been released on DVD. Turn End tells the story of the creation of the group of three houses and garden and how their design reflects the unique features of the old English village, Haddenham village.
Margot De Caster and Emma De Leeuw are students of Interior Architecture at Sint-Lucas in Ghent, part of The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, (KU Leuven) a research university in Flanders, Belgium. They recently studied Turn End as part of their Second Bachelor Interior Architecture. Margot and Emma talk about their project.
The Turn End Trust organises an annual lecture on architecture and landscape. This year’s lecture was given by Dr. Alan Powers, titled ‘Modern Houses: The Smooth and the Hairy’. Alan writes and talks on art, design and architecture, with a particular knowledge of private houses of the 20th Century. Here, Jackie Hunt, Turn End’s gardener recalls the lecture.
